Subordinate Cities []
Subordinate cities are unlocked at Keep Level 11, and are used to increase your overall power, produce gold and materials, and provide buffs depending on culture. They allow you to add power to attacks against monsters and other players, and they will also defend your city in the case you come under attack. Your subordinate city's policy, quality, and mayor will determine gold production and troops training speed and capacity. Historic generals unlock a training boost for every city. Selecting a policy allows you to either have that city focus on either training troops (war-oriented), producing gold (economy-oriented), or a balance of the two. When your main city or one of your subordinate cities is under attack, the troops from other cities will help defend. But the troops in a subordinate city cannot be sent to battles when you do not have a Mayor in it or turn the automatic fight option off.
Subordinate City Buffs[]
Each subordinate city will give a different buff these will affect certain aspects of your city, therefore subordinate cities should be picked in accordance to your play style. The percentages of the city buff increase as you increase the rarity of the city.
There are five rarities. Common (White), Uncommon (Green), Excellent (Blue), Legendary (Purple), and Epic (Gold).
Subordinate City - Default
- This city is a common (white) subordinate city given to you upon completion of Keep 11.
- You may upgrade the sub city, all the way to Epic, by paying a certain amount of gems.
- The culture of this sub city will be the same as your main city.
- It lives within your city walls, coordinates will be same as main city.
You may gain extra slots of sub cities as you grow keep levels or rank in the prestige rankings (knight, earl, baron, etc.).

Subordinate City Occupation[]
When a player occupies a new Subordinate City, it will be reset to level 1. When a player occupies a subordinate city he used to own, it will be reset to the previous level.
There are two ways to occupy a sub city:
- Successfully attack an unoccupied city once.
- Successfully attack an occupied city 10 times.
When you replace a sub city with another, the same thing happens and you lose all the troops and buildings and start from level 1.
Effects of Generals on Subordinate Cities[]
Each subordinate city can have a mayor assigned to it that effects how the city grows and what effects it has on your game. Higher level generals increase the building speed and training speed for the sub city. Added skills to generals will also affect the way in which the city grows. A historic general as mayor activates the Training Speed boost for troops in that subordinate city. A general with a Leadership and Politics of 900 will activate the War Tactics buff in the sub city, which boosts the Death into Survival Rate for that particular Subordinate City.
If unable to obtain Legendary (Purple) or Epic (Gold) historic generals, there are Blue historic generals that are relatively easy to obtain. See Generals page for the list.
